who were treated with daily administration of 450 IU or 600 IU Follicular Stimulating Hormone. A retrospective analysis of
IVF cycles among women younger than 40-years old, who were treated with daily administration of 450 IU (n=84) or 600 IU
(n=69) Follicular Stimulating Hormone (FSH) during the study period was performed. The peak serum E2 level, total number
of oocytes and mature oocytes retrieved, number and grade of embryos transferred and clinical pregnancy rates were
statistically similar. The FSH dosage was significantly lower in the 450 IU group than in the 600 IU group (3825 IU vs. 6000
IU; p<0.0001), as was the duration of stimulation (9 vs. 10 days; p=0.008). Similar results were found in the subgroup of
patients with baseline antral follicular count ≤5. Based on these results it was concluded that ovarian stimulation with daily
administration of FSH 450IU or 600 IU in women younger than 40 years old with normal ovarian reserve is associated with
comparable stimulation parameters and success rates.
<Email>dahanhaim@hotmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>6</volume><issue>1</issue><year>2016</year><keyword>IVF,high dose gonadotrophin,ovarian response,pregnancy rate,live birth rate.</keyword><AUTHORS>Tamar Sokal-Arnon, Galia Oron,Jordana H.
