<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Articles><Article><id>87</id><JournalTitle>PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS ASSOCIATED ANEMIA IN SOUTHERN INDIA- CASE SERIES</JournalTitle><Abstract>In developing countries pulmonary tuberculosis is still a common disease. Different types of hematological
changes have been seen in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Around 63% of miliary tuberculosis patients were
anaemic. Several serious illness including bone marrow granuloma, nutritional insufficiency, malabsorption and
impaired iron utilization can lead to anemia which may lead to death. Here we reported 3 cases of PT associated
with anemia of both gender and varying age group .From the laboratory investigations of the three cases presence of
anemia can be found in PT patients.
