Tirveng ROOT BARK</JournalTitle>
Immunomodulators weaken or modulate the activity of the immune system. That, in turn, decreases the
inflammatory response. In recent years, the immuno modulating properties of plants are being studied extensively with
greater interest due to the growing awareness on immune system modulation and to achieve the desirable effects on disease
prevention. Several plant remedies well-known in traditional medicine exert their anti-infective effects not only by directly
affecting the pathogen, but also by stimulating natural and adaptive defense mechanisms of the host. Therefore plantremedies have become versatile means with improved immunotherapy. Catunaregum spinosa, is highly reputed ayurvedic
medicinal tree commonly known as the Mainphal, Mindhal [2]. Literature reviews revealing the presence of triterpenoids in
Catunaregum spinosa, and which helps in exhibiting immunomodulatory activity [3]. Preliminary phytochemical screening
and T–cell proliferation assay was conducted to determine the immunomodulatory activity by in-vitro method
<Email>anjukr1987@yahoo.in</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>7</volume><issue>2</issue><year>2017</year><keyword>Immunomodulatory, Preliminary Phytochemical screening,T–cell proliferation</keyword><AUTHORS>KR.
